From new-build houses to a range of commercial properties, Donnelly Watson has the experience to design and fit flooring for any type of space. Take a look at some of our most recent projects here.
We were fortunate to work with Gressingham Foods in June 2019. With new offices being built at their expansive distribution centre in Diss, the company needed flooring laid in multiple rooms throughout the premises.
The architect for the project opted to use various colours of Desso carpet tile, so precise measurements and calculations were required to ensure we followed the meticulous designs. The result is a stylish new office for one of East Anglia's fastest-growing companies.
Ipswich Golf Club contacted Donnelly Watson to recommend and fit new flooring for the bar and restaurant in its clubhouse. With a brief to freshen up the space while maintaining the club's heritage, our design team selected an appropriate carpet from JHS, with Karndean LVT and Altro safety flooring chosen for the bar.
Given the variations in thickness, we needed to carefully measure and screed the floor to maintain heights between the bar and seating area, while precision work was also required to fit a Gradus curve bar.
In early 2019, we were fortunate to work alongside local interior designer Jojo Humes, laying new flooring at her client's elegant family home. The project presented a few technical challenges, but it was nothing our experienced team couldn't handle.
Precise laser measurement was required in many areas of the property to ensure we fulfilled Jojo's brief and left her client satisfied with the end result. We also had to take a great deal of care in not damaging the home's underfloor heating system, which was installed as part of the build.
Donnelly Watson was approached by East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) to lay new safety flooring at The Treehouse, its dedicated hospice in Ipswich. EACH provides essential care to children and young people suffering from life-threatening illnesses, and offers much-needed support to families across East Anglia.
We worked closely with EACH to ensure all work was completed with minimal disruption to the children's timetables, and selected a brand of anti-slip flooring that suited the homely feel of the hospice while maintaining a safe environment.
We were contacted by specialist IT recruitment agency Bristow Holland in 2017 as they required new flooring for their head office in Brightwell, near Ipswich. With no preference on flooring type, our design team created a number of concepts to present to the client ahead of fitting.
Settling on a combination of wood laminate and statement carpet, we were tasked with designing and cutting a bespoke carpet tile using various products from Paragon's Highlights range. This was a challenge for the team, but both ourselves and the client were delighted with the result.
Fast-growing marketing agency StrategiQ required brand new flooring when moving into their current head office on the outskirts of Ipswich. Given the creative nature of the business, they were looking for something stylish and contemporary which also offered durability and practicality.
Having understood the client's requirements, our design and fitting teams delivered a solution that perfectly complemented the office space and design. Combining carpet, wood laminate and artificial grass, it's undoubtedly one of our most rewarding projects to date.
