I would reccomend Donnelly Watson carpets to everyone. The service was superb. The carpet we chose is such a good quality. Also although we only ordered the carpet 2 weeks before Christmas they still managed to get it fitted for us in time for Christmas.
Mr & Mrs Pennock
Arrived when they said they would. Had phonecall beforehand about masks and distancing.
Cleared up well and took waste away with them. Third time I’ve used them and would do again if needed
Professional company from start to finish. Helped us chose correct flooring for our needs. Kept in contact throughout. Fitter came dead on time, was very helpful and courteous. Cleaned up after each day. Very pleased with result..
Excellent, fitters arrived on time, very courteous and very tidy. Hoovered up afterwards, would certainly recommend without any hesitation whatsoever.

If you’re looking to install new flooring at your premises, you may be a little overwhelmed by the options available to you, and the number of considerations to take into account. From basic decisions on colour and style to practical concerns such as foot traffic and safety – there’s a lot to think about when it comes to selecting the perfect flooring to suit your business.
Luckily, we have provided a guide to give you insight into how we select the right flooring for your business, with you. We work all across Suffolk and have a wealth of experience in the industry – so you can be sure that we’ll take you through all the commercial flooring types and help you make the right decision to suit your needs.
Here are our top five things you need to consider when choosing the right commercial flooring for your business.
This is probably the most important factor to consider. The flooring needs of an office, a restaurant, school a warehouse or a factory will all be very different.
Consider factors such as how the business space will be used, safety factors and expected footfall.
Is vinyl flooring more appropriate, or would wooden, laminate or carpet flooring better suit the needs of your commercial environment?
While practical factors are a major consideration, visual and aesthetic factors also come into play, especially in office or customer-centric environments.
One of the most important considerations when selecting commercial flooring is seeing what options can best reflect your business or brand through the use of colour or style.
You may even want to consider how your flooring will suit the interior design of the building – if the flooring is part of a general redesign of the building, it’s important that the flooring fits into the overall design scheme.
You should consider the logistics of your commercial flooring installation – as materials vary in cost, and some types of flooring take longer to install than others.
You also need to evaluate both your current flooring budget and longer-term cost efficiency. For example, vinyl represents a budget-friendly commercial flooring solution, while carpet flooring will be a more expensive option upfront.
However, carpets are rarely as hard-wearing as vinyl or laminate flooring and may need to be replaced more frequently.
If you are prepared to put the time, effort and cost into maintaining your commercial flooring, then a wooden floor might suit your needs – every few years you may need to strip, stain and seal the flooring.
If you would prefer an install-and-forget solution that is durable and long-lasting, then vinyl flooring may be a better option.
In most commercial environments – from factories and warehouses to shops, cafes and restaurants – managing ambient noise is an important consideration.
This can be down to regulatory factors or just ensuring customer comfort. This should inform whether you choose, for example, wooden, laminate or carpet flooring.
Working with East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), we provided anti-slip safety flooring for its dedicated children’s hospice, The Treehouse. As well as ensuring the client’s technical requirements were met, we worked with EACH to complete all work with the minimum possible disruption to the children’s timetables.
