COVID-19: How We Are Keeping Customers Safe

Here at Donnelly Watson, we are very conscious of the challenges that businesses and homeowners are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a business, our priority throughout this time has been to keep both our customers and team safe, as well as the wider community.

With that in mind, we are pleased to announce that our Ipswich showroom has now reopened for private one-to-one appointments, allowing customers to discuss their carpet and flooring needs with our team in a safe environment. With home and office visits also available, it means we can continue to offer the same level of service while adhering to social distancing guidelines.


How to book a private appointment

Our new online booking system allows customers to book a one-hour appointment at a date and time of their choosing, whether at our showroom or their home or business premises. The appointments will be with one member of the Donnelly Watson team, minimising the risk to both the customer and our own staff.

Customers will be free to browse our range of carpet and flooring samples at a safe distance from the consultant, who will be on hand to offer any advice on their requirements, as well as anything else they may require assistance with.

Booking a private flooring consultation couldn’t be easier. Customers just need to take the following steps:

1. Book an appointment using the form below, or via our home flooring or commercial flooring pages.

2. Once your one-hour time slot is booked, our team will be in touch to discuss what you need ahead of the consultation.

3. Following the appointment, we’ll arrange a safe time for somebody to come and measure the space you need fitted.

4. Our team will place your order and schedule a time to fit your flooring, making sure to maintain a safe distance.


How our services have changed

We are taking a number of measures to minimise risk to customers and staff, both during showroom appointments and while we are fitting.


In the showroom

Throughout your consultation, the team member will stay two metres away from the customer and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Any promotional materials and contact areas will be disinfected following every customer visit, and the same applies to any carpet samples touched by either the customer or our consultant.

By slightly restructuring the layout of our showroom, customers can continue to browse our comprehensive range of products while consulting safely with a member of our team.


In people’s homes or workplaces

These safety practices will also be followed when it comes to fitting your new flooring. There will never be more than two fitters on hand to get the job done, depending on the scale of the work, and customers can rest assured we will maintain a safe distance while laying your brand new carpet or flooring. Any other disruption will be kept to a minimum throughout.
